For Nick's birthday we took him to iRock in Ogden. He loved it. So did I! It's been a while since I've been able to do any climbing. It was good to show him how to do it.
He was a little afraid at first, but he soon got the hang of it. He tended to want to stay on the smaller rock most of the time, though.
He loved being able to reach the top.
After a while (and showing that I really did have a hold on the rope and that he wasn't going to fall if he lost his grip) I even talked him into doing the taller wall.
I was even able to take some turns climbing. Not bad for an old man.
