It has become a tradition when a wife gives birth for her husband to give her a "push present." Since we have been waiting so long for Gabe to come, I decided to give Kristi granite counter tops in the kitchen, main bath, and master bath. We wanted them when we built the house, but really couldn't afford them. When this deal came out at 1/3 of the cost I really couldn't pass up the deal. We knew we wanted them, but didn't realize what a huge difference they would make. They're beautiful and Kristi is very happy with them.

Here's a closeup of the island. The vein that runs through it is beautiful. I'm glad they were able to keep that in the middle when they cut it out of the granite slab.
